This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, change a court record, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice. The issuing court controls its case and warrant status. The Sheriff's Office can answer questions about its own records and custody, but its inmate search is not a complete active-warrant roster.
Choose the Office That Holds the Case
Use the citation, cause number, or court name to select the right public contact. City, JP, county, district, and custody questions are kept in separate systems:
- Sheriff or jail records: the Sheriff's Office main and jail information line is 972-932-4337; dispatch/non-emergency is 469-376-4500. Use these for county custody or sheriff-record questions, not to replace the issuing court's status decision.
- JP citations: JP1 is 469-376-4182, JP2 is 469-376-4600, JP3 is 469-376-4587, and JP4 is 469-376-4620. The citation's precinct and case number determine the clerk.
- County-court records: County Clerk court division, 469-376-4736; use the County Clerk's official page for current email, hours, and location.
- District-court records: District Clerk, 469-376-4640; use the District Clerk's official page for current service information.
- Municipal citations: contact the city court named on the ticket. Start with Forney, Terrell, Kaufman, Mabank, or Crandall for local routing.
- Legal steps: consult a licensed Texas attorney and the issuing court about an appearance, bond, recall motion, or surrender procedure.
The sheriff's inmate search shows custody information only. A name that does not appear there is not confirmation that every court or city warrant is absent. Ask the issuing clerk to confirm whether process remains active and what record or next step applies.
For general county routing and links, use the Kaufman County warrant records home page or the warrant lookup steps. Neither this site nor a third-party search box can certify official warrant status.
